We need our kitchen appliances to do more. That’s why I was excited to test out the Kenwood Triblade Hand Blender (HB724 model) this week.
This hand blender is the MacGyver of kitchen tools; it features 23 different functions to do everything from sauces and dressings, to drinks, soups, baby food and much more.
What’s in the box:
The model I went hands-on with (HB 724) came with a dizzying array of attachments. I actually had to sit down and look through them all to figure out what does what. The photo shows them from left to right:
There’s the basic hand blender attachment; a stainless steel wand with a steel blade, and a plastic coated interior. There’s a soup attachment; it resembles the hand blender, but this one is about twice as wide, and flatter, with more openings in the underside. There’s a whisk attachment, and a masher attachment, which looks just like the soup blender, but for dozens of tiny holes in the top, and a wider plastic blade. The kit also comes with a very large plastic jar, which Kenwood refers to as a ‘beaker’, a lid for said beaker, and a chopping bowl with its own small steel blade, and both a working lid for that bowl which connect to the motor, plus a plastic storage lid.
